#2013 Ford F150 – Locking rear differential

2013 Ford F150 FX4 If you’ve noticed your rear differential isn’t unlocking, the first step is to diagnose the problem. Your truck’s electronic locking differential (ELD) may be damaged or the SEL switch may have malfunctioned, which prevents your vehicle from engaging the locking differential.

You can also try unplugging the plug near the rear differential as a temporary solution. This issue usually occurs when your ELD switch is faulty. The rear differential is located in the rear axle and helps the vehicle maintain traction.

2013 Ford F150 FX4

An electronic locking differential (ELD) is a system that automatically engages a locking differential when certain drive modes are selected. However, this feature is limited in functionality, so if you’re using your truck for off-roading, you’ll need to engage it when you stop. If you’re using a spare on the rear axle, it’s advisable to engage the ELD only at stops.

Before installing a Limited Slip or Locker rear differential on your 2013 Ford F150 FX4, you should first decide on how much traction you need. If you’re only going to use your truck for sand or gravel driving, you might want to consider a Limited Slip instead of a Locker. The Limited Slip will allow you to run a larger tire size without having to swap ring-and-pinion gears.

#2013 Ford F150 FX4 – Appearance package

The FX4 Appearance Package adds unique black finishes to the center console and gauge cluster. It also includes sport front seats. This package can be added for an additional $1,780. For extra comfort, it is available with either heating or cooling options for the front seats.

The 2013 Ford F150 FX4 also features a black taillight filler, black-trimmed F150 badging, a fully painted tailgate, and a 3-inch chrome exhaust tip. Other features include body-colored door handles, fender trim, bumpers, and telescoping exterior mirrors.

The FX4 appearance package also adds leather seats. The black leather seats and red piping inside this pickup are a nice touch. The FX4 SuperCab also has a hands-free phone system and controls for cruise control and stereo. The driver’s information center is also mounted in the steering wheel.

The Ford F150 is one of the most popular vehicles on the market. Its powerful EcoBoost engine is more than 20mpg and can haul more than any half-ton truck. The 2013 Ford F150 FX4 appearance package adds even more luxury to the interior and makes it one of the most capable pickups available. It also offers leather upholstery, heated and cooled power sport seats, and the MyFord Touch infotainment system.

The F-150 comes standard with a 3.7-liter six-cylinder engine. It is the same engine used in the newer Mustang, and it delivers a total of 302 horsepower and 278 lb-ft of torque.

While the 2013 Ford F150 FX4 has many attractive features, it does have its drawbacks. When looking for a new truck, it is important to consider these things before you purchase it. By comparing features, options, and price, you can find the best deal.

Love my new Ecoboost! FX4 w/max tow pgk
2013 Ford F-150 FX4 4dr SuperCrew 4WD 5.5 ft. SB (5.0L 8cyl 6A)
They didn’t have an option for 3.5L Ecoboost FX4. I just got done towing a 28ft 8,000lb trailer to Yosemite National Park and it pulled it with no issues, turbo lag or trouble getting up 7%+ grade hills. I had a 2010 with the 5.4ltr v8 and it had trouble pulling the travel trailer even with the 3.73gears. In towing I got average of 12.5mpg. I usually get 15.5 in city and upper teens for … hwy but I work in a hilly area so I’m getting better then I expected. I was a little worried about the Ecoboost reviews from the ’11 & ’12’ models but looks like they worked out the kinks for ’13 but I leased the truck just in case. If you need a truck that can tow alot & get v6 mpg’s, this is the truck!

Best 5.0 V8 Pickup ever
2013 Ford F-150 FX4 4dr SuperCrew 4WD 5.5 ft. SB (5.0L 8cyl 6A)
I don’t have the ecoboost, I have the 5.0 V8; but it’s not an option on this form. The ecoboost is truly amazing, but has a limit on it’s high end and tends to just thrash. The 5.0 is in my eyes even more amazing. From 0 – 110 it’s just pulling and tugging with an aggressive roar. Love the seats, Sony Subwoofer, sunroof, and Navi. Touch screen and auto start logic are great, with auto
